Social Media Promotion

If you've proposed a session for Drupaldelphia 2016, or were a co-presenter for a proposed session, you can help us promote the event and earn a discount towards admission.*

What do you have to do? 

Post to at least one of the following social media channels:
  • Twitter

  • Facebook

  • Instagram

Posts must:
  1. Encourage followers to attend the event

  2. Include the event date 4/8/2016

  3. Include the drupaldelphia hashtag

  4. Include the vanity link, or a shortened url pointing to the vanity link:  http://drupaldelphia.org/referral

* If you've already purchased your tickets, you'll qualify for a prize of equal value.

 

Contest Guidelines, Terms, & Conditions

 
1. ENTRY:  Open to all registered potential presenters for Drupaldelphia 2016.  Upon posting to at least one Social Media channel, contestants should email drupaldelphia+socialcontest@gmail.com and advise which social media channel(s) you posted to and under what handle(s). Participant may also submit photos to back their submission. 
 
2. ELIGIBILITY:  This contest is open only to potential presenters at Drupaldelphia 2016;  Potential presenters are people who have submitted (or were registered as a co-speaker/presenter for) a session for Drupaldelphia 2016 between July 1, 2015 and March 1, 2016. Drupaldelphia Event Planning Committee members and event volunteers are not eligible. 
 
3. WINNER SELECTION:  Members of Drupaldelphia 2016 Planning Committee will judge the contest. Submissions will be judged on their adherence to the following requirements:

  • Instagram

4. PRIZES:  Upon visual verification of the post from Drupaldelphia's social media pages, the planning committee will email you a coupon code, good for:

  • $10 off general admission, if used before March 15, 2016, or

  • $5 off general admission if used before March 30, 2016. 

  • NOTE: Separate Accommodations will be made for users who have already prepurchased their tickets prior to March 10, 2016.

 

5. WINNER NOTIFICATION: Winners will be notified within 1 business day after the determination date. 

 

6. GENERAL CONDITIONS:
 
a. Participants hereby grant Drupaldelphia a non-exclusive, perpetual, worldwide license to broadcast, publish, store, reproduce, distribute, syndicate, and otherwise use and exhibit the Submission (along with their names, voices, performance and/or likenesses) in all media now known and later come into being for purposes of trade or advertising without further compensation. Participants represent and warrant that they have full legal right, power and authority to grant Drupaldelphia the foregoing license and if applicable, have secured all necessary rights from any particpants in, and contributors to, their Submission in order to grant such a license.
 
 
7. USE OF CONTEST INFORMATION: All entries become the property of Drupaldelphia. Drupaldelphia reserves the right to use any and all information related to the contest, including submissions provided by the contestants, for editorial, marketing and any other purpose, unless prohibited by law.  

 

8. NOT ENDORSED BY:
a.  FACEBOOK: By participating in this contest, you acknowledge that this contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook and release Facebook from any and all liability arising from or related to this contest. The information you are providing for this contest is being provided to Drupaldelphia and not to Facebook, and will be used to notify you if you have won, and to imform you about special offers from Drupaldelphia and our trusted partners.

b. TWITTER: By participating in this contest, you acknowledge that this contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Twitter and release Twitter from any and all liability arising from or related to this contest. The information you are providing for this contest is being provided to Drupaldelphia and not to Twitter, and will be used to notify you if you have won, and to imform you about special offers from Drupaldelphia and our trusted partners.

b. INSTAGRAM: By participating in this contest, you acknowledge that this contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram and release Instagram from any and all liability arising from or related to this contest. The information you are providing for this contest is being provided to Drupaldelphia and not to Instagram, and will be used to notify you if you have won, and to imform you about special offers from Drupaldelphia and our trusted partners.

 
9. CONDUCT: All contest participants agree to be bound by these Official Rules.  Drupaldelphia in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person it finds to be tampering with the entry process, the operation of its web site or is otherwise in violation of these rules.

 

10. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY: Drupaldelphia is not responsible for late, lost or misdirected email or for any computer, online, telephone or technical malfunctions that may occur.  If for any reason, the contest is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention or technical failures of any sort, Drupaldelphia may cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest.  Entrants further agree to release Drupaldelphia from any liability resulting from, or related to participation in the contest.
